Hilton Displays Celebrates Valentine's Day 2023

Hilton Displays celebrated this Valentine’s Day by making cards and heart-shaped ornaments for the children and teachers across the street at the Overbrook Child Development Center (OCDC). The employees, during their breaks and lunch, spent the week leading up to Valentine's Day crafting the cards and delivered the cards to the school on Monday, February 13.

The Overbrook Child Development Center is one of six Child Development Centers in Greenville County School district. They provide high-quality 4k and Preschool Special Education programs. The 4k programs are for children at risk for school readiness. Children above the age of four that demonstrate academic/developmental needs and/or risk factors such as low family income and low parent education level qualify for these programs. The Preschool Special Education classes serve three- and four-year-old children with developmental delays. For students with special needs enrolled in the regular 4k program, itinerant services are provided. Their mission, “Laying the Foundation for Future Success,” emphasizes their commitment to giving a quality early childhood experience to develop skills needed for future academic achievement in a safe and nurturing environment.

The HD employees visited two of the classrooms where each of the children selected a Valentine’s Day card to keep. Each card included a handwritten note and a few stickers, including a Hilton Displays sticker. The wooden heart ornaments were given to the teachers and staff. It was great to see the Hilton Displays employees' hard work receive such appreciation from everyone at Overbrook CDC!

Happy Valentine’s Day from HD!
